La Fila
La Fila’s (The Queue) theme was born as evidence of the historical period we are experiencing, a feeling of expectation, occasionally of immobility, but at the same time also a new sense of community, civilization, respect, closeness and bond with others. The exhibition, designed by the gallery owner Maria Angela di Pierro together with Dainelli Studio, sees each painting facing the next painting, awaiting its turn with seraphic tranquility. "More than a year after the start of the pandemic that shocked the whole world we wonder what has really changed. It was said that we would have come out better, we imagined the epidemic would last only weeks, months, seasons even, but we would never have imagined years.
A concept that without a doubt has entered our daily life and to which, in Italy, we were not really accustomed to is the one of the Queue. This pandemic that has separated us in half-serious equidistances, has brought order to places through the multiple lines of people present everywhere. The collection of Faces paintings by Leonardo Dainelli, set up in Meme Gallery, represents a Queue outside of a shop, a supermarket, outdoors, on the street; that we can only see from the side”
